For pastors and church staff

Your church website, kept current. No volunteer required.

Tithes.app is built by NewCulture. We build websites and run digital marketing for churches, and we've spent years watching what actually keeps a church site alive. Here's what we do about it.

Sound familiar?

Somebody on staff owns the website. Or a volunteer did, until they moved. The sermon page stops at a series from last spring. The Easter service times are still up in June. A family new to town finds you on Google, clicks through, and can't tell whether you still meet.

None of that is a character flaw. It's a staffing problem. A church website needs a few hours every week from somebody who knows how to do it, and most churches don't have that person. So the site drifts.

We built our church platform to take that job off your staff entirely.

What we built

Every church site we build runs on NewCulture Studio, our content management system. Two things about it matter more than the rest.

Unlimited updates, done for you, every month.

Send us the new sermon. The changed service time. The fall retreat details. The staff change. We make the update. There's no ticket limit and no per-change fee. It's included. Your staff sends an email, and the site changes.

Live in 30 days or less.

A new site from scratch, or a migration of the one you have. Thirty days or less from kickoff to launch. Your old pages redirect cleanly so you don't lose what Google already knows about you.

Everything your church needs to be online.

Online giving and tithing

A giving page and the tithe calculator built into your site, connected to the provider you already use. Your people give from your website or their phone. No separate app to download.

Event registration

Retreats, classes, conferences, VBS. Sign-ups run on your site, not a third-party form somebody has to check.

Sermon series

Organized by series and searchable, structured so your teaching shows up when people search for it.

Blog posts and articles

For the pastor who writes, or the church that wants to be found for more than its name.

The first-visit basics

Service times, directions, what to expect, staff, ministries. The things a new family checks before they come.

Fast, mobile-first, findable

Built for the phone in the parking lot, with Google Search Console and analytics configured at launch.

Your staff gets time back to focus on ministry

Think about what that means in practice. Here's who owns the weekly website work today, and who owns it once we're in.

Weekly task Now With NewCulture
Posting this week’s sermon Staff or a volunteer NewCulture
Adding an event and opening registration Staff or a volunteer NewCulture
Changing a service time or a staff page Staff or a volunteer NewCulture
Software updates, security, backups Nobody, usually NewCulture
Something breaks on Saturday night Whoever is awake NewCulture

That's hours a week, every week, handed back to the people who should be spending them on people.

Help your church

Help the tithes at your church go as far as possible.

The Google Ad Grant for churches is a Google for Nonprofits program that gives eligible nonprofits, churches included, up to $10,000 a month in free Google Search advertising. It isn't a contest or a loan. It's a standing offer that renews every month, and almost no church claims it.

Think about what that means in practice. Someone in your town types "church near me" or "grief support group" on a Tuesday night. Your church can be the first result they see, and the budget behind that ad doesn't come out of the offering plate.

We handle the application, build the campaigns, and keep the account compliant. That last part matters. Google suspends grant accounts that fall below its performance rules, and we've watched churches lose months of access to problems that were entirely preventable.

Who we've done this for

We've built for NewSpring Church, one of the largest churches in the country, and for faith-based nonprofits like BibleProject. We've built for churches a fraction of that size. The work is the same either way: help people find community and follow Jesus, and get the website out of the way of that.

NewCulture is run by Jon Horton, who built Tithes.app in 2019 as a free tool for the people who give. The church work grew out of the same conviction. The people searching for a church this week deserve to find yours.

Common questions

What is the Google Ad Grant for churches?

The Google Ad Grant is a Google for Nonprofits program that gives eligible nonprofits, including churches, up to $10,000 per month in free Google Search advertising. It renews every month, it is not a loan or a contest, and most US churches qualify as 501(c)(3) organizations. NewCulture handles the application, builds the campaigns, and keeps the account compliant so it does not get suspended.

What does NewCulture do for churches?

NewCulture builds church websites and runs digital marketing for churches. That includes a new website or a migration of your current one, live in 30 days or less on the NewCulture Studio content management system; unlimited content updates made for you every month; online giving, event registration, sermon series, and articles; and Google Ad Grant application and management.

Do you build a tithing app or online giving for churches?

Yes. Every church site on NewCulture Studio comes with online giving built in: a giving page, the free tithe calculator, and a connection to the giving provider you already use, such as Tithe.ly, Pushpay, or Subsplash. Your congregation gives from your website or their phone without downloading a separate tithing app, and the giving page stays current because we update it for you.

How long does a church website take?

Thirty days or less from kickoff to launch, whether we are building from scratch or moving your existing site over. Content gathering on your end is usually the slowest part, so we start there on day one.

What does "unlimited updates" actually mean?

Every site on NewCulture Studio includes unlimited content updates each month at no extra charge. Send us the new sermon, the changed service time, the event details, the staff change, and we make the edit. No ticket cap, no per-change fee, no volunteer required.

Do we keep our domain and our content?

Yes. Your church owns its domain name and everything on the site. If you ever leave, it all goes with you.

What happens to our current website?

We migrate it. Every old page redirects to its new home so the links people have saved keep working and Google keeps what it already knows about your church.

Does our church qualify for the Google Ad Grant?

Most US churches do. Google treats churches as 501(c)(3) organizations, so the usual requirements are a Google for Nonprofits account and a website that meets Google quality rules. We check eligibility on the first call and handle the application if you qualify.

What does it cost?

It depends on what you need built and whether you want us managing the Ad Grant. Book a call and we will tell you plainly. No pitch deck, no pressure.

Who builds Tithes.app?

Tithes.app is built and maintained by NewCulture, a digital agency run by Jon Horton that builds websites and runs digital marketing for churches and faith-based nonprofits, including NewSpring Church and BibleProject. The tithe calculator is free and always will be.

One step.

Fifteen minutes on a call. You tell us where the website is stuck and what your staff is carrying. We tell you plainly what we'd do and what it would take. That's it.
